Territory of Light is the slow learning journey of freedom for a young woman whose husband has just left her, and who must raise her three-year-old daughter alone. It is also a small apartment "with lights on all four sides" and "a floor of flaming red under the rays of the sun". This text brings together twelve short stories. Each one presents itself as a chronicle of daily life. The memories - calls to a buried memory - and the dreams - wanderings in the imaginary - give these experiences a poetic resonance. From story to story, the narrator discovers the hidden strength within her that will allow her to conquer authentic freedom and to assume without lies her condition as a single woman. The child, who was initially just a barrier against her loneliness, eventually becomes a privileged companion in a peaceful existence where the warm brightness of this apartment appears as a magical and benevolent sign.
